                   AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND ORDINANCE NO. 6958, AS
                   AMENDED, KNOWN AS THE ZONING ORDINANCE, SO AS
                   TO REZONE A TRACT OF LAND LOCATED IN THE 2100
                   BLOCK OF STUART STREET, BEING ON THE SOUTHWEST
                   LINE OF STUART STREET SOUTHEAST OF CURTIS
                   STREET FROM R-2 RESIDENTIAL ZONE TO M-3
                   WAREHOUSE AND WHOLESALE ZONE.

              	   SECTION 1.  BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
         CITY OF CHATTANOOGA, TENNESSEE, That Ordinance No. 6958, as
         amended, known as the Zoning Ordinance, be and the same is 
hereby
         amended so as to rezone:
             
              A tract of land located in the 2100 block of Stuart
              Street, being on the southwest line of Stuart Street
              southeast of Curtis Street.  The east 90 feet of lots 1,
              2, and 3, block 1, map of the Town of Boyce, as shown by
              plat of record in deed book O, volume 2, page 528,
              R.O.H.C., the deeds to said property being recorded in
              deed book 2478, page 786, and deed book 2957, page 42,
              R.O.H.C.  Tax Map No. 127M-N-3 and 4.
             
         from R-2 Residential Zone to M-3 Warehouse and Wholesale Zone.
              	   SECTION 2.  BE IT FURTHER ORDAINED, That this 
Ordinance
         shall take effect two weeks from and after its passage, the 
public
         welfare requiring it.
